Sompal Kami took a beautiful catch in the third over after a top edge hit by Reason. Sompal got Nepal's second success by dismissing Branden McMullen for 19 runs.
After Charlie Tier and captain Richie Berrington shared 79 runs in 80 balls for the third wicket, Scotland moved towards a strong score. Tier reached his highest score in ODIs with 80 runs. Karan, Sompal and Rijan took 2 wickets each. Karan made 43 with 1 maiden in 10 overs and Sompal spent 66 runs in 10 overs. But Reason managed to give 78 runs in 10 overs. Scotland are fourth with 20 points from 16 games and are just six points behind the top-placed USA. Scotland has played 4 games less than America. Nepal is at the bottom of the pair with only 6 points in 12 matches. The top four teams of the 8-nation tournament will qualify for the 2027 World Cup.
