Wilson Academy, Chandbagh and Greenfield have emerged champions in the first Mahamanjushree Cup three by three basketball tournament.
Wilson Senior Boys, Chandbagh Girls and Greenfield Junior Boys have become champions in the competition organized by Mahamanjushree Secondary School in Ward-5 of Nagarjuna Municipality. Wilson Academy defeated TIA by 17-14 in the senior boys final at the host's court. In the girls' final, Chandbagh won over Trijyoti with a score of 10-8. In the Junior Boys, Greenfield edged out Eden Bridge 10-8 in the final. Ridham Nagarkoti of Greenfield, Anup Magar of Wilson in juniors and Amalika Khadka of Chandbagh in girls were the best players. Shailesh Shrestha, coach of Mahamanjushree, said that in the
competition, Player Play Award was won by Milestone in Senior Boys, Manaslu School in Junior Boys and Arya Academy in Girls. The winners of the competition were awarded by Nagarjuna Municipality Ward-5 Chairman Mahesh Rimal, Mahamanjushree Principal Chudamani Marasini and Vice Principal Hemlata Chamling. Principal Marasini said that such competitions will be held continuously to attract students to sports and to identify talented players.
