The Bagmati state level President's Running Shield competition has started from Saturday at Charikot, Dolakha headquarters. School level players from 13 districts of the province are participating in the competition.
The competition for the selection of male and female athletes from Bagmati province to participate in the Presidential Running Shield competition to be held in Kathmandu from the end of May was organized for the first time in the Himalayan district of Dolakha. Chairman of Dolakha District Sports Development Committee Ashish Ghising said that around 2000 people including players, coaches and officials participated in the tournament organized by Bagmati Province Sports Council and managed by Dolakha District Sports Development Committee. According to him, there will be 6 categories of games in the tournament, namely volleyball, kabaddi, athletics, karate, taekwondo and usuma.
On the first day, the selection of 100 meters for men and women is over. During the competition, 13 athletics events will be conducted at Bhimeshwar Stadium. He said that volleyball, taekwondo, Gourishankar campus hall, karate badminton and kabaddi futsal center are being held in the same way.
His games are conducted at the Mini Curved Hall in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu. On the first day, the matches of the first round of the competition are over. The competition will be conducted for 3 days.
