Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle United will play next season's European Champions League football. In this season's English Premier League, these teams have achieved this feat by being in the top five in the last day's match on Sunday.

Manchester City beat Fulham 2-0 and Chelsea beat Nottingham Forest 1-0. Newcastle lost 1-0 at the hands of Everton, but Forest's loss helped the team. The unluckiest team on the final day was Aston Villa. Villa lost 2–0 to Manchester United and finished in sixth place.
City had 71, Chelsea 69 and Newcastle 66 points. Even though Villa have the same 66 points, they are behind by goal difference. Forest finished seventh with 65 points. In other matches, Bournemouth beat Leicester City 2-0, West Ham beat Ipwich Town 3-1 and Brighton beat Tottenham 4-1. Wolves and Brentford drew 1-1.
