The ninth Schibbs Cup inter-school three-by-three basketball tournament has started on Saturday, organized by Sri Chandravindu Boarding School (Skibs). On the first day, Nims was the winner and Chelsea World School was the runner-up in the senior girls and reached the quarter-finals.
In senior boys, TIA, Wilson Academy, Pranjali, Skylark, Himalaya, Greenland, Reliance, Skibbs, Angel's Heart and Nepal Police School 'A' secured their place in the pre-quarterfinals.
In junior boys, Odyssey Academy, People's Academy, Angel's Heart, Unique Nepal, Nepal Police, Gyan Niketan, Golden Peak, Laligurans National Academy and Gateway Academy made their way to the pre-quarterfinals. 32 senior boys, 16 senior girls, 23 junior boys and 4 staff teams are participating in the competition being held on the court of the
organizer. Madan Gurung, President of Tokha Municipality Ward 5, and Arun KC, Principal of Skibs jointly inaugurated the competition.
On the first day, 95 games were supposed to be played, but only 62 games were possible due to rain, according to the organizers.
