Former number one golfer Shukra Bahadur Rai has taken a single lead on the second day of Surya Nepal Challenge, the seventh tournament under Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2024-25. With an overall score of 6-under 130, he trailed Dinesh Prajapati by 1 stroke on Wednesday.

Veteran pro Ramey Magar and joint first-day leader Bhuvan Kumar Rocca tied for third overall at 3-under 133. Ramey shot a 1-under 67. Bhuvan finished the second day at 4-over 72 with a poor performance.

Sanjay Lama, Niraj Tamang and Pradeep Kumar Lama are joint fifth with a score of 1-under 135 overall. Sanjay scored a 2-under 66 while Niraj and Pradeep scored an even-par 68. With an overall score of 1-over 137, Toran Vikram Shahi, Basantraj Gurung and former champion Ravi Khadka finished joint eighth. Toran scored a 1-under 67 while Vasantha scored an even-par 68 and Ravi scored a 2-over 70.

competition is 6 lakh rupees. The winner will get 100,000, second and third will get 70,000 and 50,000 respectively. Professional golfers who finish in the top 21 will also receive cash. After four days of the main competition, the Pro-Am competition will be held on Saturday.
