With captain Indu Burma's aggressive batting, Nepal maintained its faint hope of reaching the second round after defeating Bahrain by 6 wickets in the Asia Qualifiers of the Women's Twenty20 Cricket World Cup on Thursday.

This is Nepal's second victory in the competition. Nepal has played all 4 games in the group stage and collected 5 points. Hong Kong has 4 points from 3 matches and Bahrain has 1 point from 3 matches. Hong Kong and Bahrain play on Friday. If Hong Kong wins the match, the team will advance to the second round. Otherwise, Nepal will reach the second stage.

If the Hong Kong game is interrupted by rain and the result of the victory is not reached, the team will also have 5 points. Although Hong Kong is ahead of Nepal in net run rate, according to the rules of the tournament, the team that wins the most matches will go ahead. Nepal has won 2 matches while Hong Kong has won only 1 match. In this case, if Hong Kong does not get a clear victory, Nepal will reach the second stage.

The 9 participating teams are divided into 3 groups and the top teams from each group will advance to the second round. Then after 3 teams compete against each other, the top two teams will qualify for the Twenty20 World Cup.
