Sandeep Lamichhane, the former captain of the Nepali national cricket team, has announced that he will not be part of the central contract of the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN). Lamichhane announced on Wednesday through the social network Facebook that he will not abide by the central contract of CAN.
Lamichhane has written that after thinking about it, CAN has decided not to stay in the central agreement this time. He has written that his decision was not to stay away from cricket and the Nepali national team, but for personal and professional development.
Lamichhane says that he took the decision for his professional development. He also says that he is excited about cricket and the upcoming journey outside of it.
Sandeep expressed his gratitude to Can and said that Can has played a significant role in advancing his cricket journey and Nepalese cricket and said that he will learn more through his experience and contribution. Writing that his loyalty to the national team and his love for cricket will never diminish, he has written that he will continue playing for Nepal with dedication.
Sandeep was included in Group 'A' under the central contract. The players included in this group were receiving one lakh rupees per month from the can.
