Dharan sub-metropolitan city has won the title of the first President's Cup inter-city football tournament held in Itahari. Dharan won the title by defeating Duhabi Municipality by 3-0 in the final match held on Tuesday at the playground of Janata Multiple Campus located in Itahari-5.

Captain Tapan Karki scored 2 goals and Sarun Shrestha scored 1 goal for Dharan to win the title. Dharan's Tapan Karki was announced as the man of the match and received 2,500 cash. Madan Limbu from Dharan was declared the best player of the tournament. He got an award of 11 thousand rupees. 

Dharan's Prabin Limbu was declared the best goalkeeper, Tapan Karki the best midfielder, Arjun Rai the best coach. Abhishek Gurung of Duhbi was declared the best forward and Bhagwanlal Majhi the best defender. They each got 5 thousand cash prizes. 

Dharan, the winner of the competition organized by the Nepal Democratic Sports Association of Koshi Province, received a cash prize of 111,000 rupees. The runner-up Duhabi won a prize of Rs 55,000. 

8 municipalities from different districts of Koshi province participated in the tournament which started from Baisakh 24 in the organization of Itahari Football Club.
