In the third Janakpurdham Mayor's Cup Twenty-20 competition held in Janakpurdham, Parsa defeated India's Delhi and India's Lucknow defeated Siraha.
Lucknow defeated Siraha by 9 wickets and Parsa defeated Delhi by 8 wickets in the first match at the Ramjanki multi-purpose stadium under construction at Rajaul in Janakpurdham on Tuesday.
Lucknow completed the target of 123 runs in 14.2 overs losing one wicket. On behalf of Lucknow, Prithul Mehta remained unbeaten with 62 off 51 balls and Somen Mohanty scored 50 runs off 30 balls. Similarly, Sumit Pathak scored 5 runs in 5 balls and was dismissed by Dinesh Adhikari.
Siraha, who lost the toss and batted first, lost all his wickets after scoring 122 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Siraha's batsmen did not perform well and Lucknow got a low score . From Siraha, Dipesh Das scored 33 runs in 31 balls while Dinesh Budha Magar scored 20 runs, Ashok Yadav scored 16 runs, Krish Iyer scored 14 runs, Ashok Poudel scored 13 runs, Rakesh Kamat scored 10 runs, Pradeep Paswan scored 5 runs.
Shailendra Singh of Lucknow took 3 wickets while Ashmit Mishra, Shiv Singh and Manish Singh took 1/1 wicket each. Mohanty, who was unbeaten with 50 runs in 30 balls, became the man of the match.
Similarly, in the second match Parsa, who got a target of 60 runs from Delhi, lost 2 wickets in 6.4 overs and won the match. On behalf of Parsa, Imran Shaikh scored 36 runs off 22 balls while Safwan Ali scored 17 runs and Sajjad Mansuri remained unbeaten with 1 run. Mohammad Samir, who opened the batting from Parsa, was dismissed for a wicket.
Rahul Maurya from Delhi took 2 wickets with 25 runs in 2.4 overs, but other bowlers could not take wickets. Delhi, who won the toss and batted first, could only play 15.3 overs. From Delhi, Rahul Maurya scored 12 runs in 30 balls and Raj Sahni scored 11 runs in 31 balls, but the rest of the players could not score runs in double figures. In
bowling, Ranjit Kumar bowled excellently for Parsa and took 3 wickets by giving 5 runs in 4 overs. Similarly, Chandan Ram took 2 wickets by giving 4 runs in 3 overs while Raja Mansuri took 2 wickets by giving 8 runs in 3 overs. Imrash Shaikh and Wasim Mansuri took 1.1 wickets each. Parsaka Ranjith, who bowled well, became the man of the match.
