The final match of the women's national football tournament is being held today (Thursday) in Hetaunda. The two departmental teams that reached the finals of the competition, APF of Armed Police Force and Captain and Coach of Nepal Police Club, are confident of winning the title.
The final match will start from 4 pm at Gauritar Stadium located in Hetaunda-6. Before the final match, APF coach Jivesh Pandey has claimed that he will win the title by working hard. Stating that the police are also a good team, he also said that they will focus on attacking.
APF captain Anita Basnet claimed that because they are playing continuously, they have less rest but they will play to win the title in the final. Police coach Bhola Silkar said that even though APF is a stronger team than them, they will enter the competition.
APF national players said that although APF is strong, they will play to win and all players are physically fit. He also said that they have a strategy to stop APF this time.
Police captain Niruta Thapa said that they will enter the field to win this title. Police entered the semi-finals after defeating Rautahat's women's team by 4-2 goals, while in the semi-finals they defeated Chitwan's women's team by 7-0 goals and entered the finals.
Similarly, APF defeated Birganj by 12-0 goals and entered the semi-finals, while in the semi-finals they defeated Sankata by 2-0 goals and entered the finals. The winner of the competition will get Rs 7 lakh and the runner-up will get a shield, medal and certificate of Rs 5 lakh. Similarly, the best player will get a scooter and the best in other categories will get 25-25 thousand rupees.
In this season, APF and Police have met 5 times in the final, and APF has won all the titles. APF won all the matches in the finals of the tournament held in Nuwakot, League, Ilam, Nepalgunj and Lumbini a few days ago.
