The third 'Janakpurdham Mayor's Cup' will be held with four Indian cricket teams. The cup is going to be held from Friday of this week (Persian) to next May 2. Association president Sobhakant (Guddu) Pandey informed that four teams from India will compete in this cup organized by Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city and in collaboration with District Cricket Association Dhanusha.

According to him, one team each from the Indian cities of Delhi, Lucknow, Muzaffarpur and Purnia will also participate. The remaining teams of eight districts of Madhesh province are participating in the game. The team is divided into four groups. One Indian team is placed in all the four teams. In the opening match of this game in the league system, the competition between Dhanusha and Sarlahi has been announced by the organizing organization.

20 lakhs will be given by the municipality, Nepal Cricket Association and sponsors in this tournament which will cost an estimated total of 35 lakhs. Chairman Pandey said that they are going to organize the cup in collaboration with the municipality with the aim of making competition with skilled players, increasing the attraction of sports, promoting the Ramzan international multi-purpose stadium under construction and producing skilled players.  Saroj Kumar Mishra, a member of the Cricket Association, said that preparations for the

cup have reached the final stage. He said that for two weeks, the ground and pitch are being improved with the help of the technical team. Last year, Bara won the cricket team title by defeating Dhanusha in the Mayor's Cup, and Dhanusha won by defeating Bara in the first Mayor's Cup.
