The visiting team, Iranian volleyball team of Iran and the departmental team of Nepal Police Club have reached the finals of the first Lions Cup International Invitational Volleyball Tournament.
After winning the semi-final held on Sunday at the multi-purpose covered hall at Pokhara Rangshala, the two teams qualified for the final. In the first semi-final, the Iranian team defeated the Tribhuvan Army Club in a set of 3-1. The Iranian team lost the first set 20-25 and won the second, third and fourth sets. The Iranian team won the second set 25-20, the third set 28-26 and the fourth set 26-24. The Iranian team overturned the lead of 18-21 in the fourth set and the Iranian team won 26-24.
In the second semi-final, the Police defeated the Armed Police Force (APF) in straight sets 3-0. Police won the first set 25-17, the second set 25-18 and the third set 25-15.
The final of the competition organized by Lions International District 325 M Nepal will be held on Monday at 4 pm. Before the final, there will be a competition for the third place between Tribhuvan Army Club and APF at 1 pm.
winner will get 4 lakh 44 thousand 444 and runner-up will get 2 lakh 44 thousand 444 rupees. The third will get a trophy, medal and certificate along with 144 thousand 444 rupees. The best player will get 14,444 rupees and the best player will get 8,444 rupees.
