The first Gorkha Cup open volleyball tournament is going to be held at the sports ground in Gorkha Municipality-6 Harmatari. The competition is going to be held from 29th of Baisakh under the initiative of Pragatisheel Yuva Nepal.

The first team in the open men's volleyball tournament to be held on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti will get a cup, medal and certificate along with a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh. The organizer Pragatisheel Yuva Nepal held a press conference to award the second runner-up with Rs. 150,000 and the third runner-up with a cash prize of Rs. 75,000 along with a cup, medal and certificate. This is the highest prize money competition in the district so far. President Deepak Thapa informed that in the

competition, the best player will get 10,000 cash and the West Spiker, West Blocker, Best Defender, West Coach and West Server will receive a cash prize of 5/5 thousand rupees.
