APF and Nepal Police Club won the 8th KNP Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial National Women's Volleyball Tournament.
Former champions APF defeated Tribhuvan Army Club in straight sets 25-20, 25-13, 25-16 in the Group 'A' league match at Rakhep Covered Hall in Tripureshwar.
Police defeated former champions New Diamond Sports Club by 25-14, 25-22, 25-13 in Group 'B' of the tournament organized by Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial Foundation. Since there are only two teams in Group B, Police winner Runyu Diamond became the runner-up and reached the semi-finals.
National player Usha Bhandari was honored with Sher Bahadur Khadka Special Award with 50,000 at the opening. Since Usha was abroad, the honor was accepted by her parents. Volleyball head coach Jagdish Bhatt was also honored with 50,000. They were felicitated by Rakhep Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising, Patron of the Foundation Gamali Khadka and President Ranjan Khadka.
