Bandi Sahayata Niyog (PAM) won 7 gold medals in Nekos 7th International Judo Tournament on Thursday. On the first day, 11 golds were decided. Pam won gold in 4 men's and 3 women's events. APF won 2 and Banke and Russia won 1 gold each.
In the tournament jointly organized by the Nepal Sports Federation (NECOS) and the National Judo Association of Nepal, men under 20 kg Bishnu Giri, under 25 kg Ashwin Tamang, under 35 kg Babin Kumal Diyali and under 55 kg Dipesh Gurung won gold for Pam. In the final, Vishnu defeated Prince Bik of Multipurpose Martial Art Center (MMAC), Ashwin defeated Dian Tamang of MMAC, Babin defeated Aditya Shrestha of Bal Vikas School and Dipesh defeated Lakshmi Rajvanshi of Koshi Pradesh.
Men's under 45 kg David Magomedob of Russia beat Bhutan's Nima Tenjin and under 66 kg APF's Special Bik defeated Sundar Rana Magar of Dang in the finals.
Women's under 28 kg Krishna Mahatara, under 44 kg Samita Nepali and under 52 kg Vinita Nepali won gold for Palm. Krishna defeated Lee Plantard of France, Samita defeated Manmaya Tamang of SOS Judo Dojo and Vinita defeated Tandin Dorjee Wangmo of Bhutan.
Women's Under 36 kg Bankeki became the winner of Khima Roka. Khima edged out MMAC's Renisha Waiba in the finals. APF's Rekha Shrestha defeated Pam's Lakshmi Shrees in the women's under 63 kg final.
