The trophy for the ICC U-19 Men's Cricket World Cup Asia Qualifier, which will begin on Sunday, has been announced. On the eve of the match, the trophy was announced through a press conference organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) in Kathmandu on Saturday.
The trophy was announced jointly by the captains of the UAE, Oman, Afghanistan and Hong Kong along with Naren Bhatt, the captain of the Nepali U-19 men's cricket team. In the
press conference, Nepal's captain Bhatt said that Nepal's team is balanced and they will perform well. The captains of UAE, Oman, Afghanistan and Hong Kong have also insisted that they will perform well on the field.
The game that will start from Sunday will be conducted until the 6th of Baisakh. The matches will be played at the Upper and Lower Mulpani International Cricket Grounds. Home team Nepal will compete against UAE on Sunday in the first match.
The Nepali team under Bhatt's captaincy consists of Abhishek Tiwari, Niraj K Yadav, Sahil Patel, Sibrin Shrestha, Roshan Vishwakarma, Darsh Sonar, Dilsad Ali. Similarly, Santosh Yadav, Ashok Dhami, Dayanand Mandal, Aparajit Poudel, Yuvraj Khatri, Bipin Prasad Sharma are also included in the team.
