Rojin Prajapati and Anjila Moktan of Jaisedeval won gold medals in the 5th Bagmati state level Junior Invitational Mayor's Cup Taekwondo tournament on Friday.
In the U-17 singles Poomsque, Rosin was the winner in the men's category and Anjila was the winner in the women's category. Arjun Shrestha of Nagarjuna Municipality came second and Rijan Moktan of Chandragiri Municipality and Pemba Ghising of Kathmandu Metropolitan City came third in the men's competition held in Suchatar. Among women, Sargam Thapa of Godavari Municipality was second and Kaushila Tamang of Vidur Municipality and Roshni Shah of Nagarjuna were third.
Sajan Lama of Kathmandu stood first, Dipsan Maharjan of Godavari second, Girish Shrestha of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality and Ayush of Mahalakshmi Municipality stood third in the single poomsae U-14 men's competition organized by Jaisedeval Youth Club under the main sponsorship of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. In women, Yunisha Rana Magar of Mahalakshmi won gold, Shirish Tamang of Kathmandu won silver, Prakriti Proz of Godavari and Neria Shrestha of Kageshwari won bronze.
435 players from 20 teams participated in 20 events, including 16 in Gyorogi and 4 in Poomsey. The 4 players who are the best in Gyorogi and Pumsey will each receive 150 US dollars. The best coach and referee will be awarded 100 USD each. The competition will be completed on Saturday.
