Chitwan 1-1 Jhapa
Nepal Super League (NSL) has only been started for nine days, half of the matches of the league stage ended on Sunday. So far, Chitwan is in the top position. Half of the 10 matches so far have ended in a draw, out of which the difference between Chitwan and Butwal-Lumbini in Puchar is only six points.
Therefore, the remaining 11 games of the league stage can make a lot of difference in the points table, there is still a lot of possibility of ups and downs. Chitwan has seven points from three games. His coach Naveen Neupane believes that Chitwan is not only at the top, but also in the 'comfort zone'. But in his own language, Chitwan lost three points that came to his mouth and had to settle for one of them.
Jhapa, on the other hand, drew consecutively in the first three matches and stayed within three points. He did not score in the first two matches, at least he managed to concede one in this match. A total of 21 goals have been scored so far this season, with a third of those goals coming in second-half injury time, so it's proving very sensitive.
This fact is one of the great features of this version. Second half injury time isn't just long, it's an opportunity for some and misfortune for others. This time misfortune was in Chitwan's luck, otherwise Chitwan would have managed to touch the magical nine points and make their entry into the top spot a certainty.
The players started to get tired
The coaches of most of the teams have started saying that the players are getting tired with the continuous games. Among them, the same coach Neupane from Chitwan was also added. Against Jhapa, especially the last 20 minutes, Chitwan's game was not only defensive, but also a bit weak. "It was difficult for the players because they had to play in one day," Neupane said. After Neeraj Chaudhary tackled Arona Thapa in the penalty area of Chitwan, Jhapa got a penalty opportunity. This goal was possible in the fourth minute of injury time of the second half. Before that, Chitwan took the lead in the 28th minute with Torich Jebarin's goal. Shishir Lekhi provided a pass for that.
Coincidence of goal data
In this match between Chitwan and Jhapa, there was a coincidence of data in two possible goals, which can be said to be exactly opposite to each other. Jhapa had kept a clean sheet in the previous four matches. In the last second game of the second season, Chitwan conceded a goal, in the second minute of that game. In that sense, Chitwan scored the first goal after 538 minutes.
In contrast, Jhapa could only concede the first goal this season. "Finally a goal has been scored, we have a problem ahead," admitted Jhapa coach Pravesh Katuwal. Jhapa scored this first goal after not scoring any goals in three matches, but it was also not from 'open-play'.
The last time Jhapa scored was in the second last game of the second season. In that sense, Jhapa has managed to score the first goal after 373 minutes. "We are under pressure because we got only three points from three games," Katuwal added.
