Prime Minister's Cup: Unbeaten in Police Final

After left-arm spinner Lalit Narayan Rajwansi took 6 wickets, Nepal Police Club remained undefeated against Karnali Province and won the eighth victory in the ongoing Prime Minister's Cup Men's ODI Cricket Tournament. Along with this, the police have secured a place in this year's finals.

The undefeated journey of Police continues with Police Club defeating Karnali Pradesh in the match held at Deukhuri International Cricket Stadium in Lamhi on Tuesday. Pursuing the winning target of 148 runs given by the police, Karnali Pradesh started well, but due to Lalit's tight bowling, Karnali was bowled out for 103 runs in 24 overs. Despite getting a moderate goal, victory was inevitable for Karnali. Ravindra Shahi gave a good start for Karnali, but the subsequent players could not catch the rhythm and lost.

Ravindra added 49 runs in 32 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 7 fours and was bowled by Sagar Dhakal. After that, Arjun Gharti tried to raise the innings, but the police returned the pavilion for 30 runs. Arjun scored 30 runs in 42 balls with the help of 1 six and 3 fours and was caught out by Lalit. Sunil Dhamala was dismissed for 2 runs, Raj Shah for 4 runs, Dipendra Rawat for 3 runs, Dinesh Adhikari for 1 run, Prakash Jaishi for 1 run, Anuj Chanra for 1 run.

Prime Minister's Cup: Unbeaten in Police Final Lalit dismissed Raj Shah, Dipendra Rawat, Arjun Gharti, Dewan Pun, Prakash Jaishi, Dinesh Adhikari and took 6 wickets by spending 41 runs in 9 overs. Sagar Dhakal took 2 wickets while Karan KC had one wicket. 

Lalit who managed to take the most wickets in the ongoing tournament became the player of the match. He also became the first player to take 100 wickets in Prime Minister's Cup cricket. He has taken 103 wickets so far and in the ongoing tournament he has taken 36 wickets in 8 matches and is the top wicket taker.

After losing the toss and being invited to bat, Nepal Police Club scored 147 runs losing all wickets in 48 overs. 

Arjun Saud scored the highest 36 runs for Police. He scored 36 runs with the help of 4 fours and 1 six while playing 60 balls and was caught out. Likewise,  Dilip Nath scored 34 runs off 59 balls with 2 fours and was left lbw by Dewan Pun.

When police lost 9 wickets, Shravan Yadav and Sagar Dhakal shared a 39-run partnership to reach the medium target. . Sagar Dhakal, who came as the last wicket, was unbeaten. Added 22 runs.

For Police, Kushal Bhurtel scored 1 run, Amit Shrestha 7 runs, Arif Sheikh 2 runs, Gulsan Jha 8 runs, Lalit Rajwanshi 7 runs, Karan KC 6 runs, Shravan Yadav scored 11 runs and captain Dipendra Singh Airi was bowled in the first ball.

Arjun Chanara for Karnali 4  Captain Diwan Pun took 3 wickets while taking wickets. Likewise, Dinesh Adhikari, Dipendra Rawat and Sunil Dhamala took 1 wicket each. Being undefeated in the tournament held for the first time in Dang  Nepal Police Club is at the top of the points table. Karnali Pradesh Team  is in fifth place. Police Club, which has played 8 games so far, is in the top position with 16 points, winning 100 percent in 8 games.
