The nominations for the sportswoman category of the year "SPA Sudurpaschim Sports Award 2081" have been announced. According to sports journalist Manch Kailali, Khokho's Manmati Dhami, Kabaddi's Manmati Bista and Boxing's Swastika Thiruva have been nominated as women's sportsperson of the year.

Tiruwa of Boxing is the player who won the gold medal for Nepal in Boxing at the ISF Gymnasium Summer Games held in Bahrain. Kabaddi's Bista is the captain who won bronze medal for Nepal in the Asian Women's Kabaddi Championship for the first time.

In the 6th Asian Women's Kabaddi Championship held in Iran, she gave an excellent performance to bring the Nepali women's team a bronze medal after two decades. Khokhoki Dhami is the player who made Nepal runner-up in the first women's World Cup. In that World Cup, he is the player who won the title of Best Attack and Best Player and Best Defender in two matches. 

The sixth series of awards will be held on March 19 in Dhangadhi. The organizers said that they are going to give awards in eight different categories. The nominations for Sudorpaschim Icon Male and Female, Youth Player of the Year and Coach of the Year have already been announced. Naren Saud of Cricket, Nirajan Dhami of Football and Sushil Chunara of Kabaddi have been nominated for Young Player of the Year.

Similarly, Kabaddi's Vishnudatta Bhatt, Volleyball's Jagadish Bhatt and Kabaddi's Harina Thapa have been nominated for coach of the year. 

Far West Icon Khagendra Joshi of Kabaddi, Atharva Singh of swimming and Hemant Dhami of cricket and Manisha Bohra of karate, Manisha Joshi of Kabaddi and Savitri Dhami of cricket have been nominated in Far West Icon women category. Nominations for the male player of the year are yet to be made.
