Prime Minister's Cup Cricket: Army vs Lumbini

The departmental team Tribhuvan Army will face Lumbini Pradesh on Sunday in the Prime Minister's Cup men's national cricket tournament in Rupandehi. Army and Lumbini will face off at 9 am at Siddharth Cricket Stadium in Bhairawa.

The title contender Army is planning to continue its winning streak. Having won 6 of the previous 7 matches, Army is in the second place in the table with 12 points. Nepal Police Club, a strong contender for the title, remains undefeated and is at the top of the table with 14 points. Army is 2 points behind top placed Police .

Army wants to climb to the top of the table by shrugging off Lumbini's challenge in Sunday's match. Captained by experienced player Vinod Bhandari, the army has fast bowlers Sompal Kami, Kushal Malla, Tritraj Das, Akash Chand, Sahab Alam, Basir Ahmed, Naren Saud, Santosh Karki, Bhim Sarki, Vivek Yadav and other players.

Since then, Lumbini Pradesh wants to improve the points table by reversing the result of consecutive defeats in the last two matches. Having won 4 out of 7 matches and lost 3 matches, Lumbini is at the fifth place in the table with 8 points. Led by Dev Khanal, Lumbini stars Prajwal Thapa, Akash Tripathi, Manish Thapa, Krishna Karki, Ramesh Kurmi, Biprasan KC, Ajay Chauhan and Nirmal Gurung among others.  After the 10 teams participating in the

competition compete against each other in the round robin, the top two teams will play the final. The final match will be held on 16th of Chait. Seven provincial teams including 3 departmental teams Army, APF Club and Nepal Police Club are participating in the competition. 

APF and Gandaki Pradesh clash

The departmental team APF Club is competing against Gandaki Pradesh in the next match under the Prime Minister's Cup One Day Men's National Cricket Tournament. The match between APF and Gandaki will start at 9 am at Extratech Oval Cricket Ground in Tilottama, Rupandehi. APF wants to improve the points table by defeating the weak Gandaki . APF is on the third place in the table after winning four and losing two of the previous six matches. He has 8 points . 

Under the leadership of Rohit Paudel, who is also the captain of the national cricket team, the APF has Lokesh Bam, Ashif Sheikh, Sandeep Zora, Deepak Bohra, Sumit Maharjan, Bhuvan Karki, Kamal Airi, Amar Rautela and other players .  Since

, Gandaki wants to put an end to the journey of continuous defeat. Out of the previous 7 matches, Gandaki has won only one. He has only 2 points in ninth place in the table . The match against APF will only be a battle of prestige for Gandaki . Defeated in 6 consecutive matches, Gandaki's title journey has ended.
