Producer Prem Kumar Shrestha has said that the profits from the movie 'Anjila' based on the biography of Anjila Tumbapo Subba, the captain and goalkeeper of the Nepali National Women's Football Team, will be used to build her house. Producer Shrestha, who brought captain Subba from Ilam to Kathmandu and played football in the departmental team Armed Police Force, has launched the 'Anjila's own home' campaign.
We will use all the profits from this movie to build Anjila's house. We are confident that our dream will come true with the money coming from the exhibition in Nepal and the money collected from the special exhibitions held in Hong Kong, UK and South Korea before that,' he said.
Distributor Karan Shrestha informed that the film, which started showing on February 29th last year targeting Holi, made a business of Rs.27 million in three days. 'Since the day of the performance, we have been going to most movie theaters in Kathmandu Valley and taking feedback from the audience. The business of the movie increased on the second day compared to the first day and on the third day compared to the second day. The audience who watched the movie has given a good response, so we are confident that the business will increase in the coming days,' said distributor Shrestha.
informed that the attendance of the audience was good on the fourth day of the film screening on Sunday and the fifth day today, and said that more commercial statistics would be released in the next few days. Director Milan Chams said that since Captain Subba himself acted, the audience was emotionally connected to his struggle and success.
'After hearing Captain Subba's story, I agreed to direct the film because it would inspire others. The audience also liked the story that we liked. This success has encouraged me to make movies on the stories of other players in the future,' said director Chams. Along with Captain Subba, Prem Kumar Shrestha, Sunil Thapa, Dayahang Rai, Vijay Baral, Srijan Subba, Maotse Gurung, Sumin Gurung, Buddhi Tamang and other actors have acted in the
movie. Tubendra Limbu, Vinod Agarwal, Rajesh Bagdia have collaborated in the production of the movie.
