Brazilian star striker Neymar will miss the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina in March due to a thigh injury.

Neymar was out of the Brazilian team for about a year and a half due to injury, but returned to Santos in February.

After Brazil fell to the fifth place in the South American World Cup qualifiers, he scored 79 goals for the last time he represented Brazil in October 2023 under Dorival Junior's training. He is the highest scorer among the current Brazilian players.

Brazil will face Colombia in Brasilia on March 20, and five days after that, they will face rivals and defending champions Argentina in Buenos Aires.

33-year-old Neymar opened the account for Santos by scoring his first goal after 14 months two weeks ago.
