Dakshinkali and Tarakeshwar Municipalities have won the Kathmandu District Intermunicipal Football Tournament 'DCC Cup'. On Saturday, Dakshinkali beat Nagarjuna Municipality by 1-0 at the Armed Police Force Ground in Halchok. Naveen Karmacharya scored to give victory to Dakshinakali.
He scored in the 54th minute. Naveen was elected player of the match. He was awarded by Vasanthi Dangol, deputy head of Dakshinkali municipality.
Tarakeshwar defeated Budhanilkanth Municipality 1-0 in the next match of the tournament organized by Kathmandu District Coordination Committee on Saturday. Tarakeshwar's Vivash Gurung scored the decisive goal in the 12th minute. He was also declared the player of the match. Krishnahari Maharjan, head of Tarakeshwar Municipality, presented the award to him.
The winner will receive 2 lakh and the runner-up team will receive 1 lakh rupees.
