Budhanilkanth Dojo won the trophy of the first Budhanilkanth Mayor's Cup Kathmandu Valley-wide Sitorio Karate Tournament on Saturday. Budhanilkanth won 12 gold, 5 silver and 10 bronze medals.
Golfutar came second with 5 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze in the competition organized by Budhanilkanth Municipality and coordinated by Nepal Sitorio Karate Branch Dojo Golfutar. Third place Sriyantra bagged 3 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals. Star School finished fourth with 1 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze.
Laxman Baral of Budhanilkanth in men and Sushma Rai of Golfutar in women were declared the best players. Goidup Tamang of Sriyantra in men and Vishika Magar of Camelia in women were selected as emerging players.
The winner was awarded by Budhanilkanth Municipality Mayor Mitharam Adhikari, Municipal Sports Board Coordinator and Ward 8 Chairman Suman Tamang and others. Senior players of Budhanilkanth including AKF Adhikaritraya Creation Officer, Hiradevi Rai, Shanti Tamang were honoured.
