With the aim of empowering women through sports, on the occasion of Fagupurnima, a mothers' football tournament was held in Beni Municipality-4 Singa Tatopani.
In the tournament organized by Jalmai Bhagwati Mother Group, five mother groups from Tatopani, Pakher and Singa participated. This group won the game and got Rs 15,000.
Jalmai Bhagwati Ama Group Secretary Meena Jugjali said, 'The football competition for mothers only was held in Tatopani for the first time in the district.
Mothers came to the playground wearing lungi, cholo, kurtasuruwal. The Fagupurnima Mela, which is traditionally held in Tatopani, which is known as a natural hospital, has been continued this time by the mother group. In the
fair, five a side men's futsal, women's and men's stick pulling, Andhanishan, men's and women's chelo competitions were held.
