Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Liverpool 4-1 in the penalty shootout and entered the quarter-finals of the European Champions League on Tuesday. After PSG won 1-0 in the second leg of the last 16 at Anfield, the competition went to a tiebreaker.
In that situation, the tie was 1-1. Ousmane Dembele scored the decisive goal in PSG's stoppage time victory. PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarum did not allow Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones' penalty kicks to score. Vitinha, Goncalo Ramos, Dembela and Desiree Dou all scored from the penalty spot for PSG.
Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan have also reached the quarterfinals. Barcelona beat Benfica 3-1 to take a 4-1 lead on aggregate. Bayern beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 to lead 5-0. Similarly, Inter won 2-1 over Fynwood and took an overall lead of 4-1.
