The Prime Minister's Cup Men's Cricket Tournament has started

The Prime Minister's Cup ODI Men's National Cricket Tournament has started from Sunday in Lamhi.

Lumbini Pradesh Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya has inaugurated the competition. At the Deukhuri International Cricket Ground in Lamhi, Chief Minister Acharya batted while Cricket Association President Chatur Bahadur Chand started the tournament by bowling.

Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has conducted this tournament simultaneously at Deukhuri International Cricket Ground, Siddharth Stadium and Tilottma Extratech Oval Ground in Lamhi, Dang. Inaugurating the

competition, Chief Minister Acharya said that sports tourism will contribute significantly to the prosperity and development of the country. Sports tourism is developing. This is a good thing," said Chief Minister Acharya, "Sports are becoming the basis of economic prosperity. International and national competitions are attracting foreign tourists.' 

He said that the government has paid special attention to the infrastructure development of the sports sector, the enhancement of the players' abilities and the production of new players.

Cricket Association President Chatur Bahadur Chand said that a new history was created by organizing the Prime Minister's Cup Cricket Tournament in Lumbini Province for the first time outside of Kathmandu. Seven provinces and three departmental teams will participate in the

competition. A match is being played between Sudurpaschim Province and Karnali Province at Deukhuri Cricket Ground.
