Nepali National Football Team Captain Kiran Kumar Limbu has said that he and his team are excited to train with new coach Matt Ross. Matt Ross, the newly appointed head coach of the Nepali team, has started preparations for the Asian Cup qualifiers at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar from Wednesday.

Nepal's captain and goalkeeper Kiran Kumar Limbu said that the time has come for the players to be busy throughout the year and the players are also excited to train with the new coach. During the conversation with coach Matt, he mentioned that he was very excited to see the passion for football in Nepal. Captain Kiran mentioned that the goal of the coach is to win the SAFF Championship and bring good results in the Asian Cup qualifiers. He says that there are some new players in the

team and they are hoping for a good result despite the short preparation. Captain Kiran says that they will work hard to make positive the goal set by coach Matt to bring in some titles and for that, it is also necessary to get match exposure with a strong team.

Anant Tamang, the defender of the Nepalese team, said that he is excited to play with the new coach because every coach has a different philosophy and tactics. He also mentioned that it will take some time to get used to the new coach and responded that it will be easier for the team if the coach stays for as long a period as possible. He said that he would have been very happy to play at his home ground, but due to the circumstances, he had to play outside the country. However, he is hoping to play the next match at home. 

Nepal is in Group 'F' in Asia Cup Qualifiers. Along with strong Vietnam, Laos and Malaysia are in this group. Vietnam reached the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup in 2019. In this group where one team will be selected, Matt, the coach of Nepal, is aiming to give a good result.
