A 5 km fun run is going to be held in the second week of March under the initiative of Higher Ground Nepal. A walk will also be organized along with the open race on Chait 9. Organizers said that more than 2,000 people will participate in the competition, which will start from St. Xavier's School in Javalakhel.

Organizers will hold a press conference about the race on Tuesday and a wheelchair race will also be held on the occasion of the race itself. More than 30 people will participate in it. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the race. Vimala Shrestha Pokharel of the organization informed that participation in the run is open to all, regardless of age or gender.

Higher Ground has been doing Fun Run program since 2015. Shrestha informed that Rashila Tamang, an ultra runner and Nirmala Bhandari, a national champion of para power lifting, have been made Good Bill Ambassadors for this year's 5 km fun run.
