Model Blaster has won the title of Koshi Premier League cricket tournament. Itahari Sample Blaster team won the title by defeating Bhokraha Narsingh Arnaz by 37 runs in the finals held on Saturday.
Dr. Bhokraha of Sunsari. After losing the toss and batting first at the Khalil Azad Stadium, the sample set up a high score of 207 runs losing 8 wickets in the aggressive half-century innings of Dipendra Singh Airi and Kushal Bhurtel.
Airy, who started aggressively, played a brilliant innings of 78 runs. He faced 34 balls and hit 8 sixes and 5 fours. Bhurtel, who faced 34 balls, scored 53 runs with the help of 3 sixes and 5 fours and was dismissed by Vipin Kumar Mahato. Kushal Malla played an excellent innings of 43 runs off 22 balls. Sandeep Dhungana of Bhokraha took 3 wickets and Bhuvan Karki took 2 wickets.
Bhokraha, who went into bat chasing a winning target of 280 runs, managed to score 171 runs for the loss of 8 wickets . For him, Sujan Thapalia scored 33, Rohan Shah scored 30 not out with the help of 4 sixes in 12 balls.
Sumit Maharjan scored 29 runs, captain Ankit Subedi scored 22 runs, Shivam Yadav scored 16 runs, Deepak Bohra scored 11 runs and Ayushman Bam scored 10 runs, but the team could not win. Ishan Pandey took 3 wickets and Kushal Malla took 2 wickets. The winner of the
title, Sample Blaster, received a prize of Rs 5 lakh 5 thousand and the runner-up received a prize of Rs 3 lakh 3 thousand. Airy of Namanal was declared Man of the Final. The best player of the tournament Sandeep Dhungana from Bhokraha got 25 thousand rupees. The best batsman was Bhim Sarki of Itahari Adarsh Giants.
Dinesh Adhikari of Eastern Superking Biratnagar became the best bowler . Both of them got 15,000 each. Prakash Karki of Namanal and Bhuvan Thapa of Bhokraha were declared emerging players . Seven teams participated in the competition which started from February 5.
