Saroj Limbu has won the title of Koshi state level open 10 km race organized by East Pritna Head Quarter of Nepali Army.
In the race held on the occasion of the 262nd Army Day, Limbu became the champion by completing the prescribed distance in 31 minutes and 48 seconds. Ocean Rai, who crossed the prescribed distance 1 second behind Limbu, came second. Yamraj Khatri finished third in 32 minutes and 12 seconds.
Lutrimaya Vishwakarma became the first on the women's side. She completed the prescribed distance in 40 minutes and 40 seconds. Savitra Limbu completed the prescribed distance in 41 minutes 14 seconds and Sudha Tamang finished second and third in 41 minutes 36 seconds. The first prize was 30,000 cash, the second prize was 25,000 and the third prize was 20,000.
Vinod Rai became the champion by completing the 3.2 km student group in 11 minutes and 57 seconds. Suvodh Dhakal finished the distance in 12 minutes 8 seconds and Parbat Parajuli finished the distance in 12 minutes 9 seconds and finished second and third. On the female side, Reshma Darzi finished the prescribed distance of 2.5 kilometers in 11 minutes and 1 second.
Varsha Rai finished the set distance in 11 minutes 51 seconds and Kushma Bhujel finished the set distance in 12 minutes 25 seconds and became the first and second. Vishnukant Chaudhary was the first, Nirajan Vick was the second and Naviraj Rai was the third for 1 km Hruilchiar.
Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikmat Karki, President of East Pritna Headquarters Itahari Pawan Ghimire and others awarded prizes to the winning runners.
