The meeting of the South Asian Sports Federation in Lahore on Monday decided to hold the 14th South Asian Games (SAG) in January 2026. The meeting was chaired by the president of the federation, Karib Shahid, and all the seven members of the federation participated.
Among them, representatives of the Olympic Committee of India participated online. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, President of Nepal Olympic Committee, participated in the meeting on behalf of Nepal. According to the unanimous decision of the
meeting, the next Saag will be held from January 23 to 31, 2016. The competition will be held in three cities of Pakistan. Those cities include Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad. A total of 27 games are included in the
competition. Two of them are the choice of host Pakistan. Out of the remaining 25 matches, four countries will be eliminated. A meeting will be held next March regarding the competition to be included in the
game and the final decision will be made in April. The technical book will be distributed after the April meeting. Similarly, a constitution amendment committee has been formed under the leadership of President Sahid for amending the constitution of the federation.
