Ayur Dhakal and Dikshant Lamichhane won gold medals in the 12th Speed Power Taekwondo Championship held in Malaysia on Monday.
In the championship held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Nepal won 7 medals including Ayur and Dikshant gold. Both golds were won by Nepal in poomsae. Ayur won the gold in the 9 to 11 age group and Dikshant in the under 12 age group.
Ayur plays in Jhapa's Mechi Taekwondo Dojang and Dikshant plays in Hattiwan Taekwondo Dojang. Nepal also won 3 silver and bronze medals. Ripsana Ghimire has managed to win silver in women's under 41 kg category for Gyorgi. Another silver was James Magar of The Celebration Co-Ed in Pooms under 9 age group.
Rakesh Sapkota won the silver medal in senior men's 58 kg weight group for Garogi. On the fight side, Asim Shrestha won bronze in the under 37 kg weight group. Lyrics Phuyal won the bronze in single poomsae for 9 to 11 years age group.
Referee Kumar Lama Ghising, Muna Khawas Magar and Bablu Sivakoti played the role of judges in that championship.
