After defeating the visiting team Brigade Boys Club, UK 2-0, Nepal Police Club entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 24th Aha-Rara Pokhara Gold Cup in Pokhara. At Pokhara Stadium on Saturday, the most title winning Police returned the British team home when they took advantage of the corner.

Vivek Pandey of Police received a corner in the 28th minute of the game and scored a goal. His shot went through the head of Brigade Boys' player Ryan Kunwar and hit the second bar and turned into a goal. In the 40th minute of the game, captain Ram Waji scored and doubled the lead. He scored a free header in Pandey's corner.

Earlier, Police defeated host Sahara Club in the opening match and entered the quarterfinals. While defeating Sahara, Ujwal Rai scored from a corner. Brigade Boys entered the quarterfinals directly. Police team captain Ram Waji was declared player of the match.

Police, who won the title 6 times in the Gold Cup, will now play the semi-final on January 30 against the winner of the quarter-final between Tribhuvan Army and Church Boys.
