The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) have raised questions about the latest election of the Nepal Olympic Council (NOS) and said that they are watching the entire development closely.
James McLeod of IOC's National Olympic Committee Relations Department and OCA's Managing Director Hussain Al Muslim wrote a letter saying that the new working committee could not be legally recognized. A new working committee was elected under the chairmanship of Jeevan Ram Shrestha.
He came to the leadership for the third term by amending the constitution. The letter also asked to resolve the legal questions raised in this process. In the letter, it is also instructed to stick to the Olympic Charter and come up with a solution that is acceptable to all.
