The second Gyan Sanskar National Inter-School Skate Competition will be held on Saturday under the joint initiative of Gyan Sanskar School and Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association.

About 200 players will participate in the competition, the principal of Gyan Sanskar, Neelam Baniyan Badu informed in a press conference on Wednesday. U-6, 6-8 years, 8-10 years, 10-12 years, 12-14 years and 14-16 years boys/girls will have 12 competitions.

Principal Baniyan said that skating is becoming popular among the youth in Nepal and expressed her belief that the competition will help to produce players who can compete on the international stage.  

General Secretary of Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association Satya Thapa said that the association has signed a 5-year agreement with Gyan Sanskar to hold the national inter-school skate competition and said that the association is paying special attention to producing national players from school level competitions. The match of the one-day tournament will be held by the organizer Gyan Sanskar at Samakhushi.
