Friends Youth Club Dadeldhura and CYC Attaria won the Arjun Trophy national cricket tournament for the second consecutive time. Friends defeated Boston Cricket Jhapa by 77 runs on Monday at Phapla Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi.
Friends, who lost the toss and were invited to bat, scored 143 runs by losing 3 wickets in a match shortened to 15 overs due to bad weather. Ayushman Bomb scored an unbeaten 57 runs. Player of the match he hit 7 fours and 1 six off 36 balls. Captain Sandeep Zora scored 51 runs off 30 balls with 4 fours and a six. Kiran Thagunna remained unbeaten on 21 runs off 10 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes. Boston's Arun Airey took 2 wickets and Pawan Karki took 1 wicket.
Boston could score only 66 runs after losing 9 wickets. Sanam Budhathoki scored 17 runs and Deepu Bhujel scored 15 runs.
