Bagmati province has become the first in the ultra rafting marathon competition from Fisling to Devghat with the aim of connecting the famous religious places Mankamana and Devghat. The winner Bagmati received a cash prize of 60,000. Gandaki Province came second and Koshi Province came third and received 40,000 and 20,000 respectively.

The 'B' team of the Nepalese army has become the fourth and the 'A' team of the army has become the fifth. The fourth and fifth teams received 10,000 and 7,000 respectively. Adventure sports coordinator of Gandaki Provincial Sports Council, Vasantraj Dawadi said that the competition was organized to connect Mankamana and Devghat. The competition started from Gandaki rural municipality-6 Bhumlichok on Wednesday. Dawadi said that the competition was held on the first day from Fisling to Simaltal and on the second day from Simaltal to Devghat. A rafting competition was held at a distance of 50 km from Fisling to Devghat.  46 people from 6 teams participated in the

competition. "We have organized a competition to connect the two religious places through adventure sports, the ultra rafting marathon has been organized for the first time," he said, "The competition organized with the aim of becoming a charioteer even in water disasters has been successful, sports lovers are also excited about it." 

On Friday, Ravin Gurung of Tanahun became the first in the kayaking competition from Abukhaireni Rural Municipality-5 Simaltal of Tanahun to Narayani Beach Resort in Gaindakot Municipality of Nawalpur. He covered the prescribed distance of 33 km in Narayani river in two hours and 28 minutes and 26 seconds. Pramod Gurung of Tanahun became the second, Krishna Khadka of Udaipur came third, Wijam Majhi of Dhankuta came fourth and Surendra Chepang of Gorkha came fifth, said Toplal Bhusal of the Provincial Sports Council Administration Branch. They got 20, 15, 10, 5 and 3 thousand cash prizes respectively. He said that 16-year-old Ammar Gurung, who lives in Tanahun, also successfully completed the prescribed distance. 25 people participated in the kayak competition.
