In the 5th Tiger Cup national and international volleyball tournament, Nepal APF Club for women and Nepal Police Club for men have entered the finals. After defeating the host Tiger Group of Pokhara at the Pokhara Stadium on Friday, APF Club confirmed their place in the finals.

Former champions APF defeated the host team 3-1. APF won the first set 25-20 in their favor and handed over the second set 21-25 to Tiger Group. APF won the third set 25-19 and the fourth 26-24 to reach the finals. Tiger of the match Niruta Thagunna and Spiker of the match Saraswati Chaudhary became the match. The defeated host Tiger Group will compete against Tiptop New Diamond Sports Club in the second qualifier to enter the finals on Saturday. 

While entering the men's final, Police defeated Tribhuvan Army Club in a competitive set of 3-2. The army group was on top and the police was on the second position to secure their place in the first qualifier. Police won the first set by 25-14 and handed the second set to Army by 22-25. After winning the third set 25-22, Police lost again in the fourth set 23-25. However, in the fifth set, he performed well and won 15-12. Army will now play the second qualifier against Gandaki Pradesh on Saturday.  In the

tournament, Gandaki Pradesh entered the second qualifier for men by defeating Sunil Volleyball Club of India in the eliminator on Friday. Gandaki won the set 3-1. 

After losing the first set, Gandaki secured his place in the second qualifier by winning the second, third and fourth sets. Gandaki lost the competitive first set 31-33. Gandaki lost the first set as he could not protect the lead of 16-11. However, in the second, third and fourth sets, he managed to make an excellent comeback. Gandaki won the second set 25-17, the third set 25-16 and the fourth set 25-17. 

For women and men, the winner will receive 5 lakh 85 thousand 555 rupees, the second place will get 2 lakh 85 thousand 555 rupees and the third place will get 1 lakh 85 thousand 555 rupees.
