The organizer Tiger Group of Pokhara reached the women's qualifier of the 5th Tiger Cup National Club Women's and Men's Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday.

The host team defeated Tiptop New Diamond Sports Club in straight sets at the volleyball court at Pokhara Rangshala. The hosts will play the first qualifier against APF.

The first qualifier has been decided before one match of the league stage. New Diamond will compete against Nepal Police Club in the eliminator. On Tuesday, Nepal Police Club reached the eliminator after defeating Tribhuvan Army Club. Police won the match 25-18, 25-21, 25-19. In the second set, Police overturned Army's lead of 16-10 and won. On the women's side, the Army and Thai teams have been eliminated with one game to play.

The defeated team in the first qualifier and the winning team of the eliminator will compete in the second qualifier to reach the final.

APF's loss to Gandaki

In the men's side of the tournament, Gandaki Pradesh defeated APF in 3-1 sets. After losing the first set 23-25, Gandaki regained momentum. The team then won the match by winning three consecutive sets 25-20, 25-19, 25-15. Gandaki and APF will play against Tiptop Help Nepal Sports Club.

In the next match, Tribhuvan Army Club also defeated Nepal Police Club by a set of 3-1. Army won the first set by 25-13 and handed over the second set to Police by 21-25. In the third and fourth sets, the Army came back 25-15, 25-22 to win the match. Army will compete against Sunil Volleyball Club of India on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the Thai team and Tribhuvan Army Club will compete in the women's competition. The next match will be between APF and the hosts Tiger Group of. On the men's side, the competition will be between Help Nepal and APF and India's Sunil Volleyball Club and Tribhuvan Army Club.
