The Rising Bharatpur Gold Cup football tournament will be held from January 12 to 19 at the police training center in Bharatpur. Club President Sushil Karki said at a press conference on Saturday that 8 teams will participate in the tournament organized by Chitwan 11 Football Club.

The winner will get Rs 7 lakh and the runner-up will get Rs 3 lakh. The best player, best goalkeeper and best defender will get Rs 10,000 each. Player of the match will get Rs 5000.

Nepal Police Club along with Saraswati Club, Bagmati Youth Club of Sarlahi, Paradise Youth Club of Chitwan, Bharatpur-24 Sports Development Committee, Ambukhairhani Rural Municipality FC, Gaindakot FC and Suryapur FC of Chitwan Kalika Municipality will also compete, said the organizing chairman Karki. The club organized the Bharatpur Championship last year with a prize of Rs 3 lakh.
