The Nepali women's team has won a silver medal in the first Kho-Kho World Cup tournament being held in New Delhi. Nepal lost to hosts India in the recently concluded final at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex. India won the match with a score of 78-40 and won the first Kho Kho World Cup title. India scored a lot of points in attacking.
The Nepali team, captained by Saraswati Kadayat, reached the final by remaining undefeated. India, the master of Kho Kho, won the title by maintaining its dominance.
This final is also a repeat of the final of the 13th South Asian Games held in Nepal. India defeated Nepal by 17-5 and won the gold medal.
However, this is the first time that Nepal has reached the World Cup final in any team game. On the men's side, Nepal will compete for the title with the host India in a little while now.
