The second university sports tournament organized by the National Sports Council (Rakhep) will be held in Pokhara from January 23.

There will be competition in 4 different games in the competition which will be co-organised by the University Grants Commission and coordinated by Gandaki University. Madhusudan Subedi, the tournament coordinator and member of the team, said that 17 gold medals will be competed for in volleyball, athletics, table tennis and badminton. There will be a game for boys in

volleyball. There will be 4-4 matches in boys and girls athletics and 2-2 matches in table tennis and badminton. Head of Sports Competition and Planning Department Meen Kumar Sharma informed that 260 athletes from 10 universities will participate in the

competition. All matches of the two-day tournament will be played at the Pokhara stadium. The successful completion of the competition was discussed in the meeting held at Rakhep on Friday under the chairmanship of coordinator Subedi.
