In the senior girls of the 4th KMC inter-school basketball tournament, Ribs and Nist reached the semi-finals on Thursday.

Ribs defeated KMC 'A' 18-11 at the host KMC School's court. Nimisha Dhami and Vidisha Parajuli scored 5-5 in NIST's win. Nist beat Care English School by 32-12 on the score of 14 by Sanskriti Paudel. Kathmandu Shikshalay and defending champions NCCS have reached the semi-finals.

In the senior boys, Wilson Academy defeated Sunshine 75-23, Ambassador defeated VS Niketan 43-27 and KMC 'A' defeated Godvari Residential 47-14 to reach the quarterfinals. Wilson's Anup Magar scored 24, Ambassador's Wisan Khadka scored 18 and KMC 'A' Akbar Shrestha scored 23. The Lord of Angels also went ahead with the walkover.

In junior boys, Janpremi defeated Kathmandu Shikshalay 10-9 and Kathmandu English School (KS) defeated Awareness International Academy (AIA) 22-6 to confirm their place in the quarterfinals. Sumit Thapa of Janpremi scored 5 and Ayush Timalsina of KES scored 10.
