Nepal's professional tennis player Abhishek Bastola has been defeated in the first match of the UTR Pro Tennis Tour in Japan. Abhishek was defeated by Japan's Taketo Takamisawa in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 in the men's singles tournament in Noda, Japan.

The UTR Pro Tennis tournament with a prize money of US$ 20,000 is being held at the Royal SC Tennis Club in Noda City. Abhishek is the only competitor from Nepal to participate in the UTR tour, where more than 3,000 players from different countries are participating. He will play the next match of the round robin on Wednesday.
