The sixth President's Running Shield at Rambha Rural Municipality level, which lasted for three days, was won by Mavi Agahakhola of Amrit Public located in Rambha Rural Municipality-3, Pipaldanda. Amrit Public became the first with 23 medals including 15 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze.

Last year also Amrit Public won the Running Shield. Krishna Mavi of Peepaldanda, Rambha Rural Municipality-3, Jheskang, came second with 12 medals, 4 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze. Meenadevi Acharya, Head of Education Branch of Rambha Rural Municipality informed that Sanahungi Mavi of Rambha Rural Municipality-2, Phoksingkot was third with 13 medals including 2 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze medals.  More than 300 students from nine secondary schools participated in the

running shield competition. There were 84 medals including gold, silver and bronze in the competition held in 28 disciplines. Rambha rural municipality president Bishnu Prasad Bhandari, vice president Radha Kumari Shrestha, chief administrative officer Bir Bahadur Pun, education branch head Meena Devi Acharya distributed shields, medals and certificates to the winning student players in the competition. 

Bhandari, chairman of Rambha rural municipality, said that sports teachers have been arranged in schools to produce athletes from the school level. He also said that the Presidential Running Shield competition was organized to produce players who are able to succeed in district and state level competitions after being selected in the rural villages.  Under the

running shield, the students played volleyball, kapardi, karate, kanta, taekwondo, running, relay, high jump, long jump, triple jump, javelin throw, shot put. Rambha rural municipality mobilized 10 sports teachers who had received coach training in secondary schools. Also, only one culture gurukulam participated in all the men's games. No other municipality in the district has conducted the President's Running Shield competition this year.
