Ashish Bhujel and Sapna Rikham from Kathmandu have been selected as the best players in the second Bagmati Provincial Open Taekwondo League on Saturday. Ashish, who was the best, won the gold medal in men's under 68 kg and Sapna won the gold medal in women's under 46 kg.
Shubhamjang Kumar of Kathmandu under 54 kg, Rojan Lama of Kathmandu under 54 kg, Hari Bahadur Periyar of Chitwan under 63 kg and Arpan Lama of Kathmandu under 58 kg won the gold in the competition organized by Tokha Municipality.
Kathmandu District Coordination Committee and Bagmati Province Taekwondo Association with the technical support of women Pasang Lama of Kathmandu under 49 kg, Soya Chakradhar of Bhaktapur under 57 kg, Sonam Mahato of Chitwan under 43 kg and Swastika Maharjan of Kathmandu under 63 kg won gold.
SKBC Taekwondo Dojang head coach Ranjit Dagoura said that about 300 athletes competed in the tournament held in Tokha Municipality Ward 5. Sports Coordinator of Tokha Municipality Narottam Rana, Chairman of Tokha Ward 5 Madan Gurung and others awarded the winners.
