The women's cricket festival has started in Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city. With the aim of attracting and encouraging women in cricket, the Makwanpur District Cricket Association has organized a festival from Tuesday.

Vinod Kumar Baniyan, secretary of the association, said that the festival, which will be held for two days, will increase the interest of girls in cricket, provide information about the game and also provide necessary training. Prem Chhetri, program coordinator of women's cricket festival informed that 8 teams from sub-metropolitan and 1 from Makwanpurgadhi Rural Municipality are participating in the

festival. A 6-over game has been played for the participating teams. 

According to the annual calendar of the International Cricket Council (ICC), the competition has been organized to attract women towards cricket.
